it is the most quiet and private of the four rooms. Large private bath with shower,

Our Personal recommendation for the Ivanhoe
"We found the Ivanhoe to be one of our "best finds" on our recent trip to the North Coast.
Starting our stay in the downstairs dining room for dinner where we were cheerfully
served what was one of the most memorable meals of our 7 day adventure. The
pasta premiere was cooked to perfection, and the wine selection was
exceptional. It was a Wednesday night, and off season at
that, and the dining room was filled with locals
making up the bulk of the customers, and
we all know that locals know where
the best food is! After
dinner we made our
way upstairs, through the
inviting lobby with fireplace ablaze
and welcoming, to our quiet room and large bath.
The Victorian theme was replete with period antiques, tasteful,
yet fun decor. Although this was their least expensive room it was the best
rate for the quality we found during our week of travel. The "upscale" saloon looked
like fun, had we not been so tired from our hiking experience. Well maybe next time? We can
recommend 'The Ivanhoe' - historic hotel, saloon & restaurant without hesitation!"

Built in 1885, The Collingwood is an historic Victorian Bed & Breakfast Inn, in Ferndale
Known as The Hart House, the inn features 5 charming guest rooms, secluded cottages
and vacation homes, private baths, hot tubs, balconies and beautiful gardens in
an enchanted, yet casual atmosphere. Ideal for on site wedding ceremonies,
anniversaries, honeymoons or weekend getaways. We have not stayed
here, however because so many of our viewers have pets and
because there are so few accommodations in the area
allow pets, we feature it. It has been
painted since we last saw
it in 2007.
