excellent for saltwater fishing. On the west side of Malibu Creek Bridge is the nature area
with great bird watching Wetland guided tours of natural elements such the Monarch

Zuma Beach

Zuma Beach is two miles long and a hundred yards wide. The widest sandy beach in Malibu.
With volleyball courts, snack bars and play ground it is a popular summer spot for
the Valley kids. A great place for body boarding (use caution when the surf
is heavy). A great family beach, noted for its clean sand, relative
privacy from Pacific Coast Highway with heavy traffic.

Westward Beach
(aka 'Drainpipes' by surfers)
part of Point Dune State Beach

Point Dune State Beach features headlands, cliffs, secluded coves & tide pools. Westward Beach,
is part of Point Dune which is a large sandy stretch of shore that is popular for swimming,
surfing, scuba diving & fishing. The headlands offer views of the coast, including the
the passing sight of migrating California gray whales (November & May). Westward
beach has more privacy (shielded by high bluffs). Located at the southern end
of Zuma Beach. Surfers know it has one of the heaviest beach breaks in the
Southern California region. Follow Westward Beach Road 1 1/2 miles
out to a dramatic rock cliff at the north side of Point Dune
and noted scenic drive and perfect sunset watch.
