17 mile drive
One of the most photographed drives in the world. You'll drive past Del Monte Forest,
Seal and Bird Rocks, Fan shell Beach, Point Joe, with the drama of the restless
pounding surf of the Pacific Ocean at your side. You'll see brown pelicans,
black cormorant's, California sea otters, harbor seals, and idle sea
lions all in their natural habitat. You'll pass emerald green
fairways of the most famous golf course in the world,
Pebble Beach Golf Links. Stop and picnic
and take your shoes off!
The shops and galleries of nearby Carmel.
In the small village of Carmel by the sea, just down the road from the city of Monterey,
is a famous world class shopping Mecca. Without exaggeration this village has
some of the most exciting shops outside Beverly Hills. Shopping here,
unlike city shopping, is a delightful, relaxed experience.
The galleries are host to world class art and
the restaurants are unparalleled!
